HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY
OUR MISSION
SORyouth’s mission is to lead teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church and to build intentional witnesses to Jesus Christ.
To create a safe environment for the youth. For the youth to know they will always have a community here for them no matter what. To strengthen their faith through prayer, worship, and scripture. To strengthen their spiritual growth. To strengthen their knowledge of the faith, through the teaching of the Catechism. To build future leaders of the ministry.
ABOUT
Youth Community Night (YCNs) is a high school youth ministry initiative to build-up the youth community of Saint Oscar Romero. At our nights teens will experience Christ-centered talks, worship, small group discussions, fellowship and more.
WHEN WE GATHER
We meet on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30PM at the Parish Office (14371 Chandler st). No registration process is needed. Ages 13-17 (grades 9-12th) are welcome. Bring a friend!
Any first-time participants of YCN are encouraged to fill out a Liability Release Form for emergency purposes.
Any parents that would like weekly conversation starters & other resources given at YCN, should sign-up for our email list!
YOUTH & YOUNG ADULT MASS
Join our youth community and their families for our Youth and Young Adult Mass every first Saturday of the month at 4:00 PM held at the Dr. Augustine Ramirez Intermediate School.
BIBLE REFLECTION NIGHTS
Join our youth community after our Youth and Young Adult Mass every first Saturday of the month between 5:30-6:30PM held in the Ministry Center (bldg A) for “Summit”! Come with an open heart to reflect with the bible. Ages 13-17 (grades 9-12th) are welcome. Bring a friend!
Any first-time participants of “Summit” are encouraged to fill out a Liability Release Form for emergency purposes.
